I’ve been teaching this LPI class at MDI. We are getting pretty far along as far as the objectives go but the guys/girls have asked for more "practical" stuff. We’ve been doing little labs the whole time but it’s kind of hard to actually do a full blown practical lab because the simple server related stuff you’d want to in ubuntu is so trivial. We’ve finally broken down though and made them install LAMP using our friend VirtualBox. They have about 3 hours to do it and we have resolved not to help them. This is called an experiment. Not the kind of experiment you and your "roommate" did in college but the kind that leads to fruitful and interesting results. Ok. I guess it is like that experiment.
The other reason i’m blogging is i’m playing with Blogilio an little KDE blogging application. I don’t have to log into wordpress and all that, i can just write in a little word processing type thing and go. It’s pretty nice because all that wordpress front end business is really slow when we are talking about a 10kbps connection. Anyway. I want to see if the picture upload stuff works
